I feel like these clearly scripted answers are being way over analyzed lol

I really feel bad for the Sens fans, however some can go pound sand bc they deserve it...but wow melnyk should not be allowed to have any interaction with the media or fans.

The guy does not instill any faith or confidence when he speaks about the future of the franchise.

He is a legit Muppet of a human being

My brother is a Sens season ticket holder.
He says it's all about perspective.
It's Gene's team so he can do pretty much whatever he wants.
As a season ticket holder It's his own choice to renew or not based on the owners decisions.
The drive is a non factor for him.

Man that sucks to hear those things as a fan. I hope Karlsson does what's right for Karlsson because I don't think he can trust Dorion or Melnyk to do anything for him.

On the flip side, it's highly entertaining. Take solace that this could be Carolina shortly.

That's just one guy though. I spent 10 years in Ottawa, the drive was a factor for me and lots of people I know. Especially since the tickets were so cheap, if they were downtown then I would have gone a lot more, and even paid more. The drive turns it from a regular event to a once in a while thing for a lot of fans imo. If they ever put the rink back downtown, I bet sales will skyrocket.

I've never actually heard anyone complain about the drive in person.

I like the rink being in Kanata, especially with all the development out there.

I do want a new rink, but I actually think getting to a downtown rink will be way worse and likely they will charge more for tickets instead of making revenue off parking.

I think Carolina's owner is the worst actually,but its not as prominent discussion,because hockey does not mean as much there as Ottawa. Its actually very entertaining for better or worse

As much as i don't like the caricature tabloid sensation known as Don Cherry,he was right " nothing good can come out of this " referring to these town hall meetings.

He needs partners obviously ( may or may not be for finances but just to run this club properly) ,sell off at least 75% of the team. Sit back in the shadows,watch hockey and still be a part owner.There is no coming back from this for him ever in our lifetimes .Mostly by his own doing with the help of some fanatics. I think the billboards went to far. I mean c'mon there is far more important things to bring to the public attention rather then the local NHL team issues. I think the next big announcement will be the NCC has withdrawn their offer to Melynk .

Nobody is going to finance that kind of project with Melnyk in the lead. He is merley posturing a role trying to squeeze out a few more dollars from the final sale.
